Following the announcement in April 2022 regarding amendments to the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Regulations (PCMLTFR) and the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Administrative Monetary Penalties (PCMLTFAMP) Regulations, Crowdfunding Platforms and some Payment Services are now considered Money Service Businesses (MSB’s) or Foreign Money Service Businesses (FMSB’s).
